Sketchbook Project Page12

SP_page12

Tree out in front of where I work. It is a beautiful old tree and provides a good deal of shade for those who sit under it eating their lunches.

Gorgeous! How are you finding the paper?

Thin.

I sketch on both sides of the page to get the most out of a sketchbook and it is hard for me to use colour. My quickest medium is watercolour but it crinkles this kind of paper really bad. especially if you try to work both sides of the page. I am using a uniball inkliner and if I were to do this again I would use a ball point pen with a very fine tip. Tul makes a very good ballpoint pen. The inkliner also bleeds through the paper. I would also like to try brush and ink which I think might work nicely but all my brushes are packed away since I moved.

So my long winded answer is I've worked on better quality paper, but this will do.
