Apologies

My good friend Adrian is making me apologize for not posting for a while.

So here it goes.

I'm really sorry for not posting for some time. I am getting married in one month and preparations are getting the better of my time. Don't think I'm not sketching, I am, but most of it is for projects I'm not comfortable posting about yet. I do have some sketches but I have not had the time to scan them. I'll do my best to have something for you all real soon.

Whoever you all are?

Can I say y'all?

Batman Black and White

I read Batman Black and White a collection of short stories about batman all rendered in black and white. I decided to do a painting on wood inspired by these stories. I used gouache and ink to do this. It turned out quite well but in retrospect I should have made the view of Batman's head more dynamic. What can I say I didn't plan it. I just drew it on wood with no real plan in mind.

Old Face

I sketched this man the other day at the doctors office. I'm quite happy because it is hard to sketch someone without them knowing it when you are in close proximity. Stealth Mission Success! I coloured him in photoshop during my lunch break. I have a lot of work to do concerning colour.

Sex Bot Smith

Last night I went to see SoapScum again, it was great, after crashing the ship into Wiggers Cove Professor George Smith and Sex Bot Dot got married it was so great I started to take my clothes off. I'll post that picture some other time. At the end of the show I grabbed Chantel Marostica and got some shots of her as Sex Bot Smith in her wedding gown. I was very happy with the two shots out of the three my favorite one as far as composition is concerned was too blurry to be salvagable. Awwww..... Anyhow by getting these shots I cap off a cool green tinted photo series of all the main characters. Good times. For those of you who are interested SoapScum Presents "SpaceQuest" is held every Monday night at 8:00pm at The Park Theatre on South Osborne. Tickets are $5.
