Lately I have been working on illustrations for some promotional cards for my sisters improv soap opera. Here is the back of the cards. The rest of the characters will appear as the week progresses.

EEL

well...

I'm finally blogging again. I want you all to know I have not been idle in the time I have not been blogging. I have done some stuff that is inches away from being posted. I also have to get photo's of the Sheleighleys I made. they actually turned out quite well. I have been drawing quite a lot lately and my sketch book is filling out so I will be scanning and posting some of those to. Apologies to all who have been checking and been unrewarded with new art.

Here is a sketch I did and scanned some time ago, I coloured it over lunch today so I could post something.

Post soon. I promise.

Little Red Riding Hot

This is a conceptual sketch I did of Beth's Halloween costume. In the end Beth would not wear such a short skirt. Too bad in my opinion. I've been having fun colouring things in illustrator lately. this one took a while because I did the character and then did the background, meaning I had no idea what the background would be while I was drawing the character. I spent even longer deciding what to put in the basket. In the end I decided a checkered kerchief would be the best. More drawings to come.

Willy in colour

I did a black and white drawing for the 07 willy awards just a little while back. I did it in colour just now so here it is.

Masks

Today Beth and I went to a friend of hers from work. His name is Ryan and he makes all sorts of crafts out of leather. Beth and I went to learn how to make masks out of leather. It was great not only was Ryan a cool guy but we had a great time working on the masks mine I drew up on the bus ride, Beth had drawn up a couple of idea's a couple of days previous. Here are some pics of the masks we did. Beth's reminds me of leaves and fire. Mine is kind of angry looking and has these looping lamb ears that hook behind my own ears. I'm very proud of what I made. I'm excited to find some time to hang out with ryan again and learn how to dye the masks.

Catcicle

It has been a while since I last posted. As per usual I have stuff on the go but no real good stuff to post. So I drew this up at lunch. Yesterday Soya my cat climbed into the fridge while no one was paying attention. Good thing Beth changed her mind about what she wanted for breakfast. Close call. So I drew up my interpretation of how things might have gone if we had not opened the fridge.
